right...so i went to a concert tonight. trapt, smile empty soul, and 3 day grace. i got the 3dg album cause they were pretty good...smile empty soul was very decent, too, but i didn't like the music enough to get the album. trapt was talented, but boring and repetative.

i got thrown into the pit a few times, and i went in a few times myself. i kept losing my shoes, which is really annoying in a place that serves bottles of beer (which break).

anyway, i got clocked in the head a few times, including one to the face that ripped up my lips a little on the inside, against my teeth. it's also a teensy swollen.

oh, and i totally have a man-crush on the drummer to smile empty soul.

ok, time to go to bed...gotta be up at 5 to watch the buccaneers in japan.

and they were. i just don't dig the music enough, ya know? they were very legit, though...their music is very soulful, if you listen to the lyrics. the lead singer explained many of the songs before playing. it was cool.

YOU SAID MAN-CRUSH.

Congratulations for having the distinction of being the only other person I know to use these types of gender specific desciptions.

I am infamous for my girl-crushes.

Hoorah. I knew you were cool people.

Hope the slightly overweight lip is feeling better...

No, you should. It's funny. I like it.

I'm gonna gank it anyway, you may as well keep using it. ;)

You are the second person I've heard, in as many days, to use that phrase. Where did it come from?

Is this for me or Nathaniel?

Wouldn't want to answer out of turn and look like an arse, y'know. ;)

I don't know where 'man-crush' came from, but 'girl-crush' came about when I was trying to define my intense like for Angelina Jolie. And Gwen Stefani. And so on.

It just made it easier to categorize them. It was also a game we used to play whilst drinking: girl-crush, boy-crush, cartoon-crush.....well, I said we were drinking. Alot.

When I heard the phrase it was used a bit differently. The guy said, "I have a huge non-sexual crush on so and so (another guy)." And I said, "did you just say 'non-sexual crush'?" and he said, "yes, yes I did." And I said, "ok then."

Hm. Well, I suppose in the interest of saving masculinity, a man-crush could be defined as such. When offered up by another man, anyway.

As for the girl-crush, I feel it isn't valid unless you mean you would gladly throw yourself into drunken revelry with said girl and...you know. Bake cookies or something.
