well, the bbc admitted that dr. kelly, the guy that denied being a mole for auntie beeb, was actually the mole.

you know...the guy that was found DEAD EARLIER THIS WEEK

what the fuck?! something nasty is going on. people who disagree with the government or shame them end up dead? reminds me of vince foster all over again.

totally fascist. i can't even PRETEND we're not living in an oligarchy anymore.

the present oligarchy has been a reality to me ever since i read c. wright mill's description of the military/industrial complex.
the funny thing is that when you try to explain this sort of dangerously incestuous nest of power to most conservatives they look at you with a "what's the problem with that?" kind of expression on their face.

Funny, that.

As my fiance is Scottish, and I am going to live there this year, I listen to the BBC quite religously.

Usually, I think they are much more spot on than we are here in the States. What a fuckin' shame that Blair has been influenced so much by our good ol' upstanding squatter in the White House.

Said fiance likes to think logically about these sorts of things and say it was probably Dr. Kelly's shame about being humiliated that led him to this.

Ah. Nay.

I find it just a bit too coincidental that the man disappears and then turns up dead in the woods behind his house only DAYS after appearing before the House of Commons.

*sigh* This War in Iraq is a bad, bad business indeed.

--sorry for the ramble, I tend to go on for a bit about these things. *blushes and hides*
