We live in a society that likes to bolster self-esteem and… - don't let the bastards grind you down.
We live in a society that likes to bolster self-esteem and confidence. That's GREAT, it really is.

But we do it even when it's not warranted, and that's kinda stupid.

"Good job, Timmy! You got straight D's! At least you didn't fail! Have some ice cream!"

Or even

"Good job, George! You ran an oil company into the ground! Here, be president!"

You get the idea.

Well, I decided I'm going to try and cure America of that. I'm going to be the antithesis to this idea (except where Evie's concerned, but only cause it's my job to keep her confidence up). I've always been blunt...kinda mean even.

But now I'm focused, and have a method to the madness. Being online helps, cause I'm so sarcastic that I usually come out just plain mean and angry.

lol...does this mean you're going to offer constructive criticism where the opportunity arises or does it mean that you're just gonna be plain ol' harsh? ;)

i've had somethign in me for a while now regarding how the modern american way of life is pretty much de facto feudalism. perhaps this'll be added in for effect, or i'll use my red-tinted glasses to write it up.

i'm just finding a liking to being the guy that takes the unpopular points of view and runs with them.

sometimes unpopular points of view are unpopular for good reason... not always, but sometimes.
