MRSA in the wild. - don't let the bastards grind you down.
MRSA in the wild.
as the recently expecting yittleone can tell you, MRSA (methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus) is one bad superbug. it used to be found only in hospitals and nursing homes but is now found many places....stadiums, gym locker rooms, los angeles.

i cannot believe a hospital acted so irresponsibly. well, what's unfortunate is that i can totally believe it. yet another example of how screwed up our healthcare system is.

MRSA, btw (pronounced mer-sa), in the coming years, will be much more likely to kill you than avian flu or ebola. now that it's in the wild it'll spread, and while it's not as virulent as avian flu, WE CAN'T TREAT IT except with multi-week doses of intravenous antibiotics...chemo, basically.

Wow. That's really freaky...after reading the associated article, I'm afraid to touch strangers!

Yeah, isn't it great that they only administer certain antibiotics in order to prove the lack of reaction, therefore actually proving the diagnosis of MRSA. Crazy.
