so, what have i been up to? this time last week i got the shield,… - don't let the bastards grind you down.
so, what have i been up to?

this time last week i got the shield, season 2. i had watched season 1 last month, and had to finish season 2 during february, so i would be all caught up for the premiere of season 3 in march.

it is highly addicting and pulse-pounding...truly a fantastic show.

i decided i had to read lair of bones, the conclusion of the runelords saga. SO GOOD...SO FUCKING GOOD.

the central idea behind runelords is wholly imaginative, and was incredibly thoughtout and detailed. excellent excellent story. apparently a movie is in development hell..i would love to see it get off the ground..this is some good shit.

so..not much going on. disney world next week, hopefully...goign to tampa this weekend...nothing compelling either way.

hopefully i'll get up to chicago in april. i have a lot of people to see there when i go up, not just my family anymore. in fact, if everything goes according to plan, i should have a few "get-togethers" with some females. we'll see.

LoB was very good...i was a little surprised that it was the end of the story, and didn't keep going for another 10 books. i dig the rune system..

i've seen the idea of the Days in another series.. JV Jones, i think (blech)...

but in the rune system, i think it was inspired. i wish that there was more subplot with borenson having the rune for will.

i'll tell you what, though...it's pretty cool how gaborn, at the very end, could galavant across the continent like that. even if it had its...repercussions.

i totally thought that asgaroth, the locus, was going to hide in erin's baby, what with the king grabbing her and whispering into her ear at the end.

but let's see...there's a big enough storm coming that even the reavers need an earth warden, asgaroth is loose (a lieutenant, in the same vein as sauron??), and two val orden boys born within a month of each other...i hear another epic.

i'd also like to say that i'm glad at least one Days decided he needed to act, and i POSITIVELY LOVED how wuqaz got a bunch of his guys into ahten's dedicate's keep....and frankly, ahten's death couldn't have been better....the character of myrrimma was crappy at first, but by the end of book two was AWESOME.
